Join us and be a part of the "Green Team" of about 30 teachers that have experience with curriculum writing and are willing to commit 5 days ( July 7, 8, 9,10 and one reflective day in early fall)

These teachers will work alongside green industry professionals to create a curriculum that utilizes the school building as a teaching tool combining environmental education, the systems of a school building and outdoor education. Each teacher will receive stipend of $375.00 for the five days and 40 hours of Professional Development hours.

From: Stacey Ruhle Kliesch, AIA, LEED AP, CID
President American Institute of Architects NJ Chapter:

"AIA-NJ has made a commitment to support developing green educational
programming
for the children of NJ's K-12 public schools to engage them
in sustainable living and learning.  Increasing awareness of the
relationship between the building, environment and community around
them, and using their building as a teaching tool to develop a holistic
and healthy interaction with the environment are very important to
AIA-NJ.  This can be supported in
both green/sustainably designed spaces and traditionally designed
spaces.  We are proud to partner with NJEA and EIRC and offer our
resources and experts to this cause."
